Early Head Start Teacher

TCAction provides educational opportunities for 350 children in Tompkins County through home-base, 5 Head Start/Early Head Start Centers and a Pre-K collaboration with the Ithaca City School District.

Responsible for implementing an Early Head Start classroom education program for children 6 weeks to 3 years including: establishing daily routine and appropriate transitions, implementing adopted curriculums to encourage active exploration, physical, cognitive and social/emotional development.

Utilize developmentally appropriate strategies and individualization to ensure planning, classroom management and adult-child interactions support the growth of all children.

Complete and utilize anecdotal notes as the basis for individualized planning, completing assessments, Parent/Guardian conferencing, Home Visits, outcome reporting and supporting child/family program transitions.

Information Technology Coordinator

Information Technology Coordinator– Work as a member of the IT Team to provide hardware/software system support and staff tech support.

Responsibilities include monitoring and tracking of agency Help Desk, databases, purchasing, IT inventory, support implementation of system wide upgrades, cross platform projects at multiple agency sites, provide training and proactive development of resources to enhance staff computer skill sets.

 

Min. Req.: Associates Degree in Computer Technology or related field plus three (3) years’ computer technology experience or High School diploma plus five (5) years’ experience in computer technology.

Food Pantry Program Assistant

Food Pantry Program Assistant– FT; The Food Pantry Program Assistant operates, maintains and supports consumer access to agency food pantry.

Responsibilities include receiving and processing food deliveries, stocking shelves, cleaning and sanitation, maintaining inventory records, boxing pantry deliverables, coordinating consumer scheduled pick-ups and deliveries.

Additional responsibilities include the pick-up and receiving of food donations, participating in the implementation of annual Victory Garden program and working with pantry volunteers.

Min. Req.: High School Diploma or GED required AND two (2) years’ experience in food services delivery, consumer services or related field.

Housing Assistants implements day-to-day service delivery to Housing program participants; maintaining assigned caseload. Responsibilities include: timely completion of re-certification, collecting documentation, identification of household composition and income, collecting third party verification and supporting documentation to ensure program compliance, data base input and maintenance, issuing voucher documents; conducting re-certifications; and maintaining and completing required reports and records.
