Victory Garden

Victory garden shelves

Held annually since 2010, through a generous collaboration with Cornell University Horticulture Department with Professor Neil Mattson and loyal Cargill volunteers, the Victory Garden provides TCAction program participants with starter vegetable plants  to create their own home garden.  For households with limited or no garden space, 5-gallon buckets from Lowes and Home Depot are provided for a container gardens.  Interested households choose vegetable seedlings, a variety of herbs and flowers in early spring for a pick up day in May.  Each year, we appreciate Victory Gardeners who donate extra produce back to our Food Pantry.
