Update

Tompkins Community Action is restructuring the way we provide services to children and families following the Tompkins County State of Emergency Plans, Tompkins County Health Department and CDC guidelines.  We are encouraging all TCAction Program participants to reach out to TCAction staff and Program Supervisors by calling 273-8816 with any questions or programmatic concerns and not to physically visit any TCAction program sites.

In our efforts to “Flatten the Curve” of the Coronavirus, our Food Pantry will not open for the public on Tuesdays from 1-4 pm each week, but in order to ensure that families and individuals access our food resources, we request that our Food Pantry customers in Tompkins County please call 607 273-8816 to make an appointment to pick up food at 701 Spencer Rd. in Ithaca, NY 14850.   Appointments will be created three times per week:  Tuesdays from 1PM-4 PM, Wednesdays from 10AM -12 PM and again on Thursdays from 10AM – 12-PM.  Our Food Bank of the Southern Tier has been very helpful, as well as our colleagues from Tompkins County and the NYS Network of Community Action Agencies in assisting us with our decision to serve by appointments rather than encourage folks to gather at our sites.

Our Head Start and Early Head Start programming will begin to provide services to children and their families through distance learning, food delivery and electronic communication and support, including resources and referrals.

TCAction will continue to pass along updates on our Tompkins Community Action Facebook page, our website: www.tcaction.org and on the HSCTC List Serve.  Please call us if you have concerns or need assistance.  Be safe and best wishes from Lee Dillon and all the staff at TCAction.
